In his book, "The Peregrine," J.A. Baker tells the haunting story of his obsession with the Peregrine falcon. It is the story of a man in the relentless pursuit of beauty as he searches for this rare bird through the ragged coasts of western England... to the point that he even, at times, becomes the bird.

We chose this falcon as our wine's namesake because Cabernet Franc is the Peregrine falcon of the East Coast. Like the Peregrine falcon, this wine is elusive, bold and powerful, sharp, wild, and peppered.
